NEW - The Augusta Project

Welcome to my gallery! Here, you'll find a collection of my life's work, showcasing the diverse range of projects and individual art pieces I've created over the years. Each piece tells a story, reflecting my journey as an artist and creative guide. I hope you find inspiration and joy in the colors, forms, and expressions that fill this space.

Original artwork and prints are available for purchase. Feel free to contact me if you’re interested in buying a piece of work or if you’d like to attend a workshop or class.

In addition to my Celebrate You and Animal projects, I am excited to introduce my latest endeavor, the Augusta Project, now featured in the gallery. This new collection is an exploration of the creative process while walking down the path of self-discovery as I share the essence of my great-grandmother, Augusta.

Be sure to check it out below and let me know your thoughts.

Thank you for visiting!

The Augusta Project

“There is a voice that doesn't use words. Listen." - RUMI

Augusta Winters Grant, born July 7, 1856 - died June1st, 1952, was my great-grandmother. Over the last year I have been getting continual and persistent inklings to know and discover Augusta; her essence, her presence, her nature, her voice. She was the second of 3 wives of Heber J Grant, the 7th President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

I began the "Augusta Project" as an attempt to find expression through my art for what her journey  might have felt like and to give that journey a voice.

I've been following the bread crumbs found in these inklings and I'm not sure I have answers but I do know that something wants to emerge here, a story wants to be told, a voice wants to be heard. This is a life I want to honor.

So here I am and here is an invitation to join me on this mysterious, magical carpet ride. I don't know where this creative process will take me but what I do know is that what started as a project to discover my great-grandmother has become a project of discovering myself.

Celebrate You Project

"Knowing that I'm leaving, in spite of my fate, I am grateful for a life worth missing." - Abigail Louise Judd

(September 13, 1954 - December 22, 1996)

Abbie was my younger sister. She died of an inoperable brain tumor at age 42. This quote is from a book she wrote about her experience of living,  knowing that she was dying. That quote has informed my life. I took it on as a way to live my life and honor hers. As a result I try to celebrate life every day, all of it; the good, the bad and the ugly.

When I turned 70, for the year leading up to my birthday, I created a card a day celebrating turning 70, 365 cards to be exact.

Each image has a bird, a spiral , a heart and a star. The bird represents my sister, the star a universal connection,  the heart because it was a heart centered project, and the spiral which for me represents transformation and infinite possibilities. I discovered, even on the bad days, that there was always something to celebrate. Sometimes it was just showing up that day.

This daily practice left me with a sense of gratitude every day and provided the space daily to play, reflect, be in awe, create, connect, and explore endless possibilities. Because the cards were created daily, none of my art was precious. I knew if I didn't like it there was another opportunity the next day. I learned a lot from that year about trusting and loving the creative process and the power of concluding my day with gratitude.

I call these pieces my 'Celebrate You"  images because when I first began a friend commented that she felt that by doing this project and sharing it I'd given her permission to Celebrate.

With this original art I want to give everyone  Permission to Celebrate. There is only one of you and the world is grateful you are here. CELEBRATE YOU!

Animal Portraits

My art is often informed by nature. The animals I have created represent wisdom, resilience, courage and the interconnectedness of all living things.

If you look closely you will see trees, spirals, feathers, hearts; all grounded in the symbols of connection to the earth.  I hope my images evoke a sense of wonder, awe and reverence for the natural world.
